With a new football coach and staff at Oregon State a lot of things have change from the Mike Riley era. One is media day. I can't remember the last time Oregon State had one. I had a bunch of photos I to shoot. Team photo, group photos of each position group, group photo of players and coached from their home state and each player in uniform. I had help from Ryan Gardner of Visual People and Kallie Hagel, a Philomath High School student who is job shadowing me. We set up a mini studio in the concourse of Reser Stadium. I shot everyones head shots earlier this summer, so what football wanted was three photos of each player. One smiling, one with a football, and the last photo whatever the player wanted to do. It was a blast, the players had fun with it, we flew through the photos, shooting 100-plus players in under two hours.
